EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said ministers did not agree on a 20th sanctions package against Russia at a meeting in Brussels on Monday after objections from Hungary. “Unfortunately, we did not reach an agreement on the 20th sanctions package,” said Kallas. “This is a setback and a message we did not want to send today.” Hungary threatened over the weekend to block the EU sanctions plans and to obstruct a 90 billion euro loan for Ukraine until Russian oil deliveries to Hungary resume.
