EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas firmly rejected the US-Russia draft Ukraine peace plan now circulating in Washington and Kyiv, insisting that any viable settlement cannot reward Russian aggression or bypass Ukraine’s and Europe’s consent. In press remarks, Kallas stressed that ending the war is vital, but the terms of peace must preserve Ukrainian sovereignty and cannot simply mirror Russia’s longstanding demands for territorial concessions and military cutbacks.
