Summary:
Looking for an engineer to speed up what would be otherwise a lengthy manual task. We are an online shopping in Qatar who recently moved from Shopify to Bigcommerce. The migration didn’t go 100% well and we have some missing/pending information regarding items, such as missing SKU IDs. Also over time, SKUs became non-unform as a standard format was not followed. We found ourselves the need to manually compare our master product list spreadsheet with a CSV extract of the list of items in BigCommerce to update and link the info accordingly. The master product list contains fields like product name, barcode, item code etc. Any of the field on the csv extract of the list of item in BigCommerce may contain these fields within another string or as it is and that would be the matching criteria.

Tasks and deliveries:
– We are looking for an engineer to create a script to process this automatically. We imagine the outcome would entail a degree of matching confidence. We already used CHatGPT but only 30% of the items were covered successfully

Create a Script that does the following
1. Input the the master product list
2. input the bigcommerce export list
3. match the records based on the different columns
– output the matched file with updated SKUs, a file with records that are new (records not existing in bigcommerce)  and a file with records that aren’t needed anymore (records for deletion)
4. Import the list with updated sku into bigcommerce

Create a script to routinely update the master product list with the following from suppliers product list, which will be them imported to bigcommerce in a routine fashion.
RSP – Price
SOH – Stock Level
Sale Price – Sale Price
Cost Price – Cost Price

Required experience:
– Technical experience related to the task in question

– Nice to have: BigCommerce; e-commerce; inventory; retail
