Looking for an experienced Elixir developer to modify an open source chat app ( https://github.com/papercups-io/papercups ) and transition it from using PostgreSQL to MySQL  The project is in maintance mode and no public updates have been made in 2 years, so do not expect help from original developers.  

Once the app has been modified to use MySQL, we would also want an Account-level integration added that reads customer data from our app’s API, so that when a two-way SMS comes in, we can populate the name/information of the customer.  Since it is an open source project we are modifying, the MySQL option will be made available to the project as a fork/PR, but not sure they are active enough to accept it.   

    Responsibilities:
    – Modify the existing app to use MySQL instead of PostgreSQL  
    – Test and debug the code to ensure proper functionality
    – Add account level integration/plugin to auth against our app’s api and pull customer data.

    Requirements:
    – Proven experience with Elixir development
    – Strong knowledge of SQL and database migration
    – Familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL
    – Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality code
