We are looking for a skilled cloud platform developer to help build out a system that connects drone imagery to a cloud-based data repository. The platform will leverage the DJI Cloud API and Pilot program to automatically extract images captured by DJI drones and process them using Google Cloud APIs for image data and geocoding.

Key responsibilities:
Integrate the DJI Cloud API and handle communication protocols like MQTT and websockets
Build pipelines to forward drone images into the platform as they are captured
Implement Google Cloud Vision API for extracting text, labels, landmarks from images
Use Google Maps API to geocode image GPS coordinates into addresses
Archive processed image data including text, labels, coordinates, and addresses in our Google Cloud data warehouse
Create a user interface for viewing images augmented with extracted data
Optimize system for throughput, scalability, and reliability

Requirements:
Strong Python programming abilities
Experience with cloud platform development (Google Cloud Platform highly desired)
Familiarity with drone SDKs and APIs
Background deploying scalable cloud data pipelines and services
Ability to manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform/Ansible
Bonus: interest in drones, geospatial data, imagery processing
