We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Full Stack Developer to join our team on the Deep Personality project. Deep Personality is a psychometric assessment tool designed to measure over 200 personality traits through more than 1,900 Likert style questions.

The primary goal of this role is to contribute to the development and enhancement of the Deep Personality web application, which serves as a critical research infrastructure for our international study of personality.

Responsibilities
– Develop, test, and deploy new features for the Deep Personality web application with a focus on scalability, security, and user experience, ensuring high performance across devices.
– Continue the integration of external APIs, such as ChatGPT, to enhance application functionalities, including but not limited to, personalized content generation and interactive user experiences.
– Implement payment processing features to facilitate transactions within the application, ensuring secure and efficient handling of user payments.
– Optimize the application for international use, ensuring ease of translation and accessibility for users worldwide, including compliance with web accessibility standards.

Requirements
– Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with expertise in relevant technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, Django/Flask, SQL databases).
– Experience with developing and maintaining web applications that handle large datasets and have international reach.
– Knowledge of data privacy, security best practices, and legal regulations (e.g., GDPR).
– Strong analytical skills, with an ability to work closely with a multidisciplinary research team.
– Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English. Additional languages are a plus.
– A background in psychology, social sciences, or related fields is desirable but not required.
– Experience with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) and understanding of financial regulations and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS) is desirable but not required.

Hourly Range: $35.00-$70.00
