Develop a High-Performance Vector Database and AI Service Platform

We’re seeking an experienced developer or team to build a scalable, low-latency vector database and service platform for AI and machine learning applications, similar to Pinecone.

Project Scope:

– Design and implement a high-performance vector database system capable of:
  – Fast similarity searches among high-dimensional vectors
  – Real-time data indexing and updating
  – Scalable and distributed architecture
  – Low-latency querying (aiming for ~50ms query latency at p95)
– Develop a user-friendly API and SDKs (Python, Java, Go, etc.)
– Implement robust security features, including encryption and access controls
– Create a serverless architecture for easy scaling and management
– Integrate metadata filtering and hybrid search capabilities
– Optimize for high recall rates (aiming for ~96% recall)
– Implement real-time updates to maintain data freshness
– Develop basic documentation and quickstart guides

**Technical Requirements:**

– Deep knowledge of vector databases and similarity search algorithms
– Experience with distributed systems and cloud architectures
– High-performance backend development skills (preferably Go, Rust, or C++)
– API design and development experience
– Knowledge of machine learning and AI applications
– Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure

**Preferred Qualifications:**

– Experience with large-scale data processing and analysis projects
– Contributions to open-source projects
– Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD processes
– Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
