Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) claims to have foiled a covert British-Ukrainian operation to hijack a Russian MiG-31 jet armed with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile. According to Russian media, European agents allegedly tried to lure Russian pilots with a $3 million offer and promises of Western citizenship. Leaked audio recordings released by RT captured secret communications between the pilots and individuals posing as members of the investigative group “Bellingcat.” The alleged plan involved poisoning the MiG’s commander mid-flight and diverting the aircraft toward Odessa via Romanian airspace. Moscow has long accused the UK of orchestrating provocations inside Russia and stoking the war.
