We are a software company focussed on producing high-quality video software for the Mac. Our flagship product is SecuritySpy, a video security (CCTV) software solution that our customers use to monitor their homes and businesses.

Central to SecuritySpy is its user-friendly web interface, which allows customers to access their camera systems remotely. This interface has three main sections: live video streaming, access to recorded footage, and settings. This web interface has just undergone a full rewrite, and we are now in pursuit of a skilled designer. The ideal candidate will enhance the interface’s aesthetics with their expertise in design and CSS, ensuring it is not only visually appealing and professional but also intuitive and reminiscent of the Mac experience.

The skills we need are as follows:

– UI/UX design
– CSS
– HTML

Although we are open to your insights regarding the site’s functionality, please note that the core structure of the site is already established, and significant alterations are improbable. Your role will be concentrated on refining the CSS. As it stands, the existing CSS is operational yet basic and incomplete, requiring a creative touch to elevate its design and finish.

To give you some idea of the scope of the project, the site has around 14 HTML pages and a single CSS file. So it’s not a big project, but there are a number of different UI elements that need styling, and a consistent colour scheme worked out for both light and dark modes.

The site has to work on all common desktop browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge). There is no mobile version currently, though this may be the subject of a future project.

We have a demo server available that we would be happy to provide access to, so that you can clearly understand the scope of the project.
