We are looking for a front-end developer to assist in continuous improvement of an existing web-based application. The successful applicant will have experience designing modern, reactive user interfaces and have an eye for design and detail. The applicant must be proficient in React and CSS and have experience designing attractive and intuitive user interfaces. This is an ongoing opportunity for 3 to 6 months with a weekly budget of $250 USD per week. In your proposal, please tell us your hourly rate and how many hours per week you would be available.  

The successful candidate must
– Have previous experience in React, be confident modifying and creating components and have a basic understanding of react hooks.  
– Be proficient in CSS, ideally experience using Tailwind CSS.  
– Be able to confidently create UI concepts and implement them.
– Have a basic understanding of git and have used it on a previous project.
– Be able to show at least one portfolio project.
– Have a good grasp of written and spoken English.

The following skills will be held in high regard but are not required for the role
– Knowledge of 3D graphics, Webgl or the THREE.js library
– Experience designing REST APIs
– Graphics design experience

The successful applicant will work directly for a senior developer who will allocate tasks and manage priorities. We are based in Brisbane, Australia, so a suitable time for stand-up meetings will be arranged and our senior developer will be able to provide help where required, however the applicant should be able to work autonomously for most of their time.  

Hourly Range: $5.00-$20.00
