adminI’m seeking a Full stack developer to build a relational database and UI for internal use. 1st, I need the database to aggregate all the info into one place and make it very digestible. Secondarily is the pipeline aspect but it must be a person who is proactive and requires minimum management. I’ll want it built in AWS so it’s easily manageable. I’d want it written preferably in Python but MAYBE Java/Golang. If that is all something you would still be interested in, I will continue to follow up with you as things progress.
The job will likely be completed in three steps. First is a functioning database that has updated data and is easily updated and managed with the aggregated information. The second aspect is a sales pipeline that is easily navigated by a sales force. Third is an outward facing website. This website must be extremely user friendly to the public and funnel people to insert contact information to be contacted while stressing a few points about the company.
The information aggregated will be publicly available and/or I will provide it from the Texas Railroad Commission or one of a number of subscription sites. The information will be acquired county by county until roughly 30 counties worth of information is in the database. The database and internal site will have to be very simple and able for a sales team with very little computer literacy to easily navigate. The site will also have to have a simple algorithm entered in to automatically run a formula and update pricing on the site quickly. A few pieces of information to be aggregated are as follows: The owner information (including contact number(s) and most recent address), tracts owned, leases owned, state of lease, amount of acreage, operator in said lease, # of permitted sites within tract, brief description of lease (“NE/4 of section 12, BLK 46, Reeves County, TX” for example), income, estimated income amount, a link from the owned leases to the TRC website with its specific API, a link to the owner’s overall page containing many or all of their interests, a place for notes to be taken for each individual owner’s interest within the lease, and others.
The most important personality aspects of the right hire are proactivity, experience with O&G, free and open communication (the ability to speak in layman terms), and a desire to create a good product efficiently (not letting perfect be the enemy of good). In an ideal situation, this is a contract that turns into a long-term job upkeeping the database.
