Requires (NDA and NonCircumvent) We are an automotive recycling business currently leveraging Checkmate software integrated with WooCommerce to manage our inventory and online sales. Our goal is to maintain and enhance our existing system, ensuring that inventory data and associated images are seamlessly synchronized between our internal database and WooCommerce platform in real time. The project involves working with an InterSystems Caché database and modifying scripts to support automated data flows and real-time updates.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer with a strong background in InterSystems Caché and experience in developing and maintaining data integration systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for continuing the development of our custom scripts, maintaining database integrity, and ensuring that inventory data is accurately reflected in our WooCommerce store. This role requires someone who can troubleshoot complex issues, propose and implement robust solutions, and document processes clearly.

Key Responsibilities:

Script Development & Maintenance:
– Modify and enhance existing scripts that pull inventory data from the InterSystems Caché database and upload it to WooCommerce.
– Expand functionality to include the handling of image retrieval and upload to Amazon S3 or similar storage, and updating WooCommerce with new image paths.
Real-Time Data Synchronization:
– Implement real-time data synchronization between Checkmate (InterSystems Caché) and WooCommerce, using triggers and other efficient methods.
– Develop scripts to track and manage inventory changes, including new additions, updates, and sold items.
Database Management:
– Work with the existing InterSystems Caché database, ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrieval processes.
– Implement and maintain a logging system to track inventory changes and ensure accurate data transfer to WooCommerce.
Troubleshooting & Debugging:
– Diagnose and resolve issues related to data synchronization and script execution.
– Recover and re-implement any lost scripts or database changes due to system updates or errors.
Documentation & Backup:
– Create detailed documentation for all scripts and processes, ensuring that they can be easily maintained and replicated.
– Implement a robust backup strategy to safeguard against data loss and ensure continuity of operations.
Collaboration & Communication:
– Work closely with the project manager and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide regular status updates.
– Provide technical guidance and support as needed to ensure the project stays on track.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:
– 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer, with a focus on backend development.
– Strong proficiency in InterSystems Caché, including SQL and ObjectScript.
– Experience with PHP, JSON, and API development.
– Familiarity with WooCommerce and its API for product and inventory management.
Problem-Solving Skills:
– Proven ability to troubleshoot complex database and script issues.
– Experience in developing efficient, scalable, and reliable scripts for data synchronization.
Communication & Collaboration:
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain technical processes.
– Experience working in a remote team environment, with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.

Other Qualifications:
– Experience with cloud storage solutions like Amazon S3.
– Familiarity with automotive recycling or inventory management software (e.g., Checkmate) is a plus.
– Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while collaborating effectively with a team.

– Duration: 3-month contract with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
