This role requires expertise in handling large datasets (over 100,000 entries) and developing a search flow that begins with the year, then make, model, and submodel of vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage a complex database for an e-commerce platform specializing in car covers.
• Implement a search functionality that allows users to filter products by year, make, model, and submodel of vehicles.
• Ensure the database supports over 100,000 listings with high performance and reliability.
• Work closely with the web development team to integrate the database seamlessly with the front-end of the website.
• Conduct database optimization and performance tuning to ensure fast search results.
• Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive customer data.
• Provide regular updates and maintenance to the database, ensuring it remains up-to-date with the latest vehicle models and specifications.
• Collaborate with the product team to understand product specifics and requirements for database functionality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Developer or similar role, with a portfolio or examples of previous work.
• Strong proficiency in database technologies, SQL, and experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Experience in managing large datasets and optimizing database performance.
• Knowledge of e-commerce platform development and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Hourly Range: $20.00-$50.00
