Hello, I hope you are doing well.

I am looking to build an app where you can draw on top of an image.

I wish it was that simple! It gets a little more complex:

1. The image that is being drawn on top of needs to be to scale. So, if the image is a top-down view of a deck and we know the deck is 20′ long, then the entire image now needs to be precisely to that scale.
2. What is drawn onto the image needs to be measurable to get a length or surface area measurement. This is why the base image needs to be to scale.
3. The plan that is drawn on top of the image needs to be exported as a .pdf as well as another exported image of the original image with the newly drawn design on top.

Please let me know if you have created something similar or know how you would do it!
