Phase 1 of the United Birth website platform will serve as a simplified credential verification system for doulas and a scope of practice education delivery system.  United Birth will approve their previous doula certifications by United Birth approved schools and once this course has been completed, they will receive an HDC Certification (Hospital Doula Professionalism Certification). This certification will be downloadable onto their device, with a scannable QR code for your hospital staff and an uploaded photo for identification purposes. Take this off your shoulders, all HCA Healthcare staff will have to do is scan the QR code and confirm the photo they see on the screen is the person’s face that they are looking at.

What should the website be able to do:
Hospital back:
Have a login for hospitals to be able to see all the doulas, their credentials, profiles, video profile, verification of credentials, be searchable by location and credentials. Be able to scan a QR code to check a doulas profile.
Doula end:
Create a profile with bio, headshot, video, upload their doula certification so that we can then verify it. Link to our course so that they take the course and then it gets verified in our system that they took it.
Our end:
Be able to easily verify doulas credentials, be able to sell them more courses, be able to provide support easily.
