adminI need to convert a design engineering automation application, written inside of excel, to a stand alone application.
Scope of Work:
9,500 lines of VBA code need to be converted into a stand alone application. The output of this project will be:
– The VBA source code converted into C# and returned at the end of the project. (A note on the VBA source code: this source code does not interact with any menu’s or sheets within excel – it purely using text files for input data and outputting data to other text files).
– A deployable application with the same functionality as the original VBA code.
– With a license manager connected.
– An installer for the deployment of the application.
– The first version of this software will have no front end GUI as it does data processing only. Its primary method of use is being called from the command line with the relevant switches.
Further work:
Upon successful completion of the first scope of work, discussions for further work will include:
– Refactoring and improving the quality of the code base.
– Extensions of the code bases generative design algorithms.
– Adding GUI functionality.
– Development of an API for the application
