Job Description:

As the Website Developer and Maintenance Specialist for Arizona Critter Cave LLC dba Thrive and Paws, you will be responsible for building the initial website and ensuring its functionality, while also being available for occasional modifications and updates as needed. This role is part-time and flexible, suitable for individuals with web development skills looking for occasional work opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Website Development:

Build the initial website for Thrive and Paws using the WordPress platform (WordPress.org or WordPress.com), incorporating necessary features such as social media integration, product links, and service tabs.
Ensure the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for mobile responsiveness.
Implement basic SEO practices to improve search engine visibility and attract organic traffic.
Ongoing Maintenance:

Be available for occasional modifications and updates to the website, including content additions, layout adjustments, and plugin installations.
Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise and provide timely resolutions to ensure smooth website operation.
Monitor website performance, security, and backups to maintain data integrity and protection.

Requirements:

Proficiency in WordPress website development, including experience with themes, plugins, and customization.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic web design principles.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to client inquiries and requests.
Flexibility and willingness to accommodate occasional modifications and updates as needed.
Experience with social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok) and integrating them into websites is a plus.
Understanding of budget constraints and willingness to work within limited resources.

Note: Please note that our website is currently hosted on Bluehost, and we are using WordPress as our content management system. However, I am uncertain whether our Bluehost account is associated with WordPress.com or WordPress.org. We are currently paying for the hosting service and do not intend to move the existing account. The selected candidate will be expected to work within the existing setup and make necessary modifications or updates accordingly.
