Recently, we’ve been building out an embeddable version of our product that helps artists and organisers bring resale, waitlists, and lists of upcoming events to their website.
A number of artists use Wix to build and host their sites and so we’d like to build a plugin that can leverage our embeddable library to show a list of their upcoming events.
A similar plugin exists already and is provided by Bandsintown (https://www.wix.com/app-market/bandsintown). We’d like a plugin that functions in a similar way.
The plugin should collect the following settings from the user:
1. The event key (this is a string)
2. Whether they want light or dark mode
The plugin should add a div element to the site. The div element needs to either have a specific ID or an ID that you will know about. If the user has selected dark mode, the div should have a class applied to it called "dark".
The plugin then needs to add a script to the page. The script is what boots our embeddable product and loads it into a div.
Utilising our existing embeddable script means we do not need to rewrite it each time we integrate with a new site builder.
A demo of how the script works on a regular website is here: https://www.loom.com/share/09bb6d4cdaff441e9e044b8494a21468?sid=9e4fd1c4-6ec3-4f56-a186-9e57836b24c1
