On July 23, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced new centrally sponsored scheme for 20 lakh youth to be skilled over 5 years. Around 1,000 ITIs to be upgraded with hub and spoke arrangement — Course content to be tailored to the needs of the industry, particularly emerging sectors.
