I am looking for someone to build a simple game that helps kids learn to play piano. Levels in the game would take them through musical notation, chord formation, scales, playing songs, etc. I have the ideas for each level as well as the stories, and little games kids would play to progress through, but do not have the ability to create the game. I have developed an entire unique methodology for teaching piano in person, but this would act as a supplement for kids to practice and learn ‘music theory’ at home. (called the ‘Wagner’ method- see ‘Wagner’s School of Music’ in La Mesa) The game is not meant to replace actual piano lessons (either group or individual), but supplement them and help students improve playing ability while also learning the parts of music kids usually find more boring.

Ideally, the person who takes up this project would have an understanding of game development for younger kids (5-12 years old), a basis understanding of music/theory, and be very willing to collaborate back and forth on the design. I have already created a ‘mock up’ for the first few levels and will be happy to share in an initial conversation. If you are the right fit, this could be a very exciting project!

If you think you are a good fit, please reach out and share some of your relevant work and/or games you designed and I will be in touch shortly!
