The armed military wing of Hamas, al-Qassam Brigades, on June 14 claimed that two Israeli hostages in Gaza had been killed a few days prior in an Israeli bombardment on Rafah. “Your government (the Israeli government) only wants to recover the hostages in coffins,” stated Hamas in a video posted on Telegram. Nevertheless, Hamas’ assertion regarding the captives has not been verified by the Israeli military or the relatives of the hostages.
