Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that China and the United States can get along well, but stressed that achieving stable relations ultimately depends on Washington’s choices. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Wang emphasized Beijing’s commitment to dialogue and consultation as the best path forward for the world’s two biggest powers. He said China will continue pursuing cooperation in the interest of both nations’ peoples and in line with global expectations, while warning that the future of U.S.–China ties rests largely with the United States.
