Iran’s IRGC warned that it is prepared to expand the battlefield by launching direct attacks on Israel Defense Forces units deployed in Gaza and northern Israel if Israel continues its operations in Lebanon and Palestinian territories. In a statement carried by Tasnim, the IRGC denounced the “child‑killing army of the Zionist regime” for “extensive war crimes” against civilians in Lebanon and Palestine and declared that if these “crimes against civilians” persist, the gathering points of Israeli forces in northern “occupied Palestine” and the Gaza Strip will be subjected to heavy missile and drone barrages “without any consideration” by Iran and the Guards. Even as Iranian commanders threaten new direct strikes on the Gaza front, Donald Trump maintains that Iran is “desperately” seeking negotiations and portrays U.S. pressure as having badly weakened Tehran’s capabilities.
