I’m looking for a shopify expert that is also has graphic design skills and can partner with me in building and launching a my ecommerce site. I’m a very small start up coffee roaster. My day job involves helping run a direct response print and communications company specializing in non-profit fundraising. But surprisingly I’m struggling to get my own little pet project off the ground. Mostly just due to busyness of life, 3 teenagers, and my other responsibilities. And I’ve been trying to carve out the time but just haven’t been able to.
Although I plan to include options for retail coffee purchases by individuals, the main thrust of my coffee company is to target larger orders from groups (teams, scouts, school groups, church groups etc) and give them an opportunity to use my coffee to raise funds for their activities. I also plan to have various charities that we as a company and Nick’s Coffee community will support through the business. I really want generosity and giving back to be a big part of the ethos of my company, brand and site.
I have a small amount of creative already in place. A logo (which I’m happy with, but open to suggestions), some individual custom designed coffee labels for individual projects.
The business started as a little project with my now 16 year old daughter. She lost interest but I haven’t. So more recently, I decided I wanted to expand and really try to make this work. Changing the name from Unicorn Coffee to Nick’s Coffee aka Nick’s Fresh Roasted. nickscoffee.com
People LOVE my coffee. It’s really the only reason I’m pursuing this. I get nothing by raves…and so I feel like I have something to offer that people will find value with and appreciate.
As for the project…what I need is essentially a ground up build…and I hope if things go well and I can afford it, that we continue the relationship into the future beyond this initial site launch. That being said, I do assume that once the initial site launch is complete that I’ll have access to the site and creative and could, if I wanted to, take on some site work into the future. And perhaps use you to help me through anything that I can’t do due to skill or time.
I have no idea how much you think something like this might cost, but I’m hoping to keep it somewhere in the $1500-$2000 range. My first goal is to launch a site that is a good foundational site. It can be relatively simple…and perhaps think of it as "Phase 1" of a multi-phase project. It needs to be a site that looks professional, exhibits the qualities of the brand I’m hoping to form…includes the most basic fundamental elements needed, and that perhaps most importantly, is a site that I’m proud of and that I can work to promote and build a bigger customer base, create some profits that I can then invest back into the company to improve and expand the site.
Hourly Range: $25.00-$50.00
