We’re a nonprofit making advanced probabilistic web applications, primarily to help nonprofits estimate the impact of interventions.

Some design/brand help we could use includes:
– Brand development for our Nonprofit and for our various applications.
– Web design for our nonprofit’s website and the landing pages of our products
– Web application UI design (maybe some UX design), for some key website pages we’re working on.

Our organization website is here:
https://quantifieduncertainty.org/

The main products we are working on are Squiggle and Guesstimate.

https://www.getguesstimate.com/

We’d ideally have someone who could do all of the work above, but would be happy to have someone who is very good at a subset of it.

We’re looking for maybe 10-60 hours of work upfront, with more work as needed later. If things go very well, there could be roughly 2-20 hours of work per month for the next year+. There could also be some more intense work to heavily rethink the UI/UX of Squiggle/Squiggle Hub, our main application going forward.

We’re using Tailwind for much of our work.

A great candidate would be good with the following:
– Very strong design aesthetic sense.
– Strong English (at least in text conversation) and communication
– Ongoing, if we have less than 6 hours of tasks, can normally complete them within ~7 days.
– Ability to design in the constraints of Tailwind. Ideally can make/style simple components in React.
– Experience and interest in ML models to generate key artwork.
– Experience with educational/scientific design.

Hourly Range: $17.00-$60.00
