A not-for-profit organization has a WordPress-based platform solution that we looking to move away from.  We want something that can be more customized and that can also integrated with a 3rd party Joomla-integrated database, for user management.  Also let us know what your favourite flavour of ice cream is.  

Part of the redevelopment involves recreating 2 API’s that an iOS and Android app rely on for user interactions.  You will be able to review our existing custom WordPress REST API’s, to easily recreate.

Coders who provide a fair budget, complete this project on-time, AND provide an essentially bug-free solution will be short-listed for future long-term work on subsequent development phases.

*** Development, Part 4:  Database and User-Specific Data Integration and Migration ***

1.  Create the database on the new server.  Your database structure will efficiently and logically accommodate future server development phases and features.

2.  While user credentials will be stored on and retrieved from “the Brain”, some user-specific data will be stored on our new server.

3.  We will add db tables to our new server to accommodate this user-specific data.  Examples include user notes, highlights of reference material, and favourites (bookmarks) of reference material.  NOTE that our current custom WordPress REST API plugin already accommodates these features and you may use that code as a resource.  This plugin will be provided to you.

4.  Migrate the user-specific data from our current WordPress implementation to our new database using appropriate table mapping.
