Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitating Scrum Events: Organize and lead Scrum events, ensuring adherence to time-boxed schedules and promoting transparency and accountability through active participation in discussions.
2. Empowering the Team: Enable the team to become self-organizing and cross-functional, fostering collaboration and collective ownership of project deliverables. Offer guidance and support in adopting and implementing Scrum principles and practices.
3. Removing Impediments: Identify and address impediments hindering the team’s progress, proactively removing obstacles and ensuring smooth project execution. Act as a servant-leader, advocating for the team and shielding them from external distractions.
4. Ensuring Transparency: Maintain transparency by ensuring project progress, risks, and issues are visible to all stakeholders through tools like Scrum boards and relevant metrics. Foster open communication and collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.
5. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging reflection and adaptation based on feedback from Sprint Retrospectives. Facilitate discussions on process improvements, collaborating with the team to implement changes that enhance productivity and quality.
6. Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Scrum principles, practices, and values. Provide guidance on agile practices, supporting the team in embracing an agile mindset and culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar agile role, with a solid understanding of Scrum principles and practices.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and build strong relationships within cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to address impediments and facilitate consensus among team members.
• Experience in using agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
• Certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)) is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
