We are seeking a highly skilled web developer or development team to create an innovative shipping rate integration platform. This platform will serve as a "black box" intermediary between major shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS) and our clients’ shipping management platforms (ShipStation, ShipHero, Extensiv). The project is divided into two main phases:

Phase 1 Objectives:

– Develop a website that can automatically pull shipping data from major carriers and process this information in real-time.
– Enable markup of shipping rates on a per-client basis and push this marked-up information back to the client’s platform.
– Ensure two-way, real-time data processing, allowing for the seamless exchange of package information between the client platforms and our system.
– Initial integration with ShipStation, ShipHero, and Extensiv, with the possibility of adding more platforms in the future.

Phase 2 Objectives:

– Implement a payment portal within the website where customers can fund their accounts.
– Automate the deduction of shipping costs from the customer’s pre-funded balance as they ship packages.

Required Skills:

– Proficiency in web development with a focus on real-time data processing and API integration.
– Experience with shipping rate API integration from major carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS).
– Knowledge in implementing secure payment gateways and handling financial transactions online.
– Strong background in UI/UX design, with an emphasis on creating user-friendly and efficient interfaces.
