I am looking for an experienced C# and C++ developer to assist me with an application. It is an application that I have created over time, and recently paid a developer to refactor the code into a new app, to hopefull make it more stable. The application is a windows based application, that does the below items. 1) a sys tray management application thats running, allowing the user to make small changes to the app, and login / logout. 2) a service application which is running in the background completing tasks. The application is a print management application which runs, connects to an api. It will poll the api to sense changes in printer configuration. Much like a cloud printer management solution. With the data from the API the service will create printer queues, install drivers and modify printer queue settings. The most important feature however, is the detection of print jobs. As part of the service, the service will hook into the windows printer process and capture print jobs. The service will capture print jobs from printers that have been installed by the service, and that are not currently online. It uses SNMP to detect this. If the printer is offline, and a job is printed the job data and metadata will be captured and pushed to the API. The API then will deliver the job to another agent on another computer that has access to the same printer – but online. The developer only got half way on the refactor, and had to leave for personal reasons. I am wanting a new developer to urgently get started again. The biggest challenge will be the job capture code written in complex C++ (Its injected into spoolsv) Can you help?
