India’s Diksha Dagar shot a 2-under 71 to make a fine start at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open. Diksha, who was third in the LET Order of Merit last year, was tied-seventh and two shots behind the leaders. Vani Kapoor and Pranavi Urs also had fine starts but gave up those gains to drop down later as the Ladies European Tour opened for the season. Vani shot an even-par 73 after a double-bogey on the closing 18th and was tied-16. Pranavi was 2-under after 15 holes before she had a double-bogey on the 16th and a closing bogey on the 18th. She was tied-32nd at 1-over.

Davis Cup: India drawn to meet Sweden in away tie
India have been drawn to meet Sweden in an away Davis Cup World Group I tie in September. The team had blanked Pakistan 4-0 in the World Group I play-offs in Islamabad last week while Sweden lost 1-3 to Brazil at home in the Qualifiers first round. India have never defeated Sweden in five meetings so far.

Age-group wrestling Nationals from February 28 in Patiala
The Under-15 and Under-20 National Championships, scheduled to be held in Gwalior next week, will now take place in Patiala from February 28, the wrestling ad hoc committee announced. The ad hoc committee, which is in charge of the Wrestling Federation of India, postponed the age-group nationals after some state associations expressed their inability to participate in the tournament at such a short notice.
