Iran has sharply warned that countries backing a U.S.-supported U.N. Security Council push on the Strait of Hormuz could share responsibility for any future escalation. In a strongly worded statement, Iran’s mission to the United Nations accused Washington of trying to manufacture a false image of global support by highlighting the large number of co-sponsors attached to the draft resolution.
