Violence broke out in parts of Noida after protests by factory workers demanding a hike in wages escalated on Monday. A large number of workers from various industrial units had gathered to press for their long-pending demand for salary revision, raising slogans and staging demonstrations across key areas. The situation, however, turned tense as some protesters allegedly resorted to vandalism, throwing stones and setting a vehicle on fire. Eyewitnesses reported chaos at the protest site as clashes broke out, prompting immediate police intervention. Authorities have since deployed heavy security in the area to control the unrest and prevent further escalation.
