Speaking at an event in Kochi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the government is closely monitoring the West Asia crisis and coordinating support for Indian nationals across the region. He thanked Gulf nations for ensuring the safety of Indian expatriates and urged political parties not to politicise the issue. Modi also criticised the Indian National Congress for allegedly playing politics over the crisis. During the visit, he laid the foundation stone for a 50-MW floating solar project at West Kallada, highlighted renewable energy opportunities in Kerala, and announced railway and road infrastructure upgrades under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
