At least three U.S.‑aligned Gulf states reported fresh Iranian missile and drone fire on March 10, just hours after Donald Trump claimed the war with Iran would end “soon” as Washington was achieving its objectives. Saudi Arabia says it shot down drones over its oil‑rich Eastern Province, Kuwait reports downing multiple UAVs in both the north and south, and the UAE says its air defences are confronting missiles and drones coming from Iran. The latest strikes coincide with Iran accusing the U.S. of using Arab soil to attack it, after Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reshared a U.S. Central Command image of HIMARS launchers in neighbouring states and warned that no one should complain if Iranian missiles destroy those systems “wherever they are.” In a separate PBS interview, Araqchi rules out any new negotiations with Washington after what he calls a “very bitter” experience of talks followed by U.S. strikes, insisting this is a “war imposed on us” and that Iran’s operations are legal self‑defence against U.S. and Israeli aggression that has destabilised the entire region and disrupted oil flows.
