A major setback has hit Ukraine’s war effort after a Czech foundation dropped its planned Flamingo missile donation, citing serious doubts about whether the funds would actually reach the intended manufacturer Fire Point. The decision came within hours of the resignation of Zelensky’s chief of staff Andriy Yermak, whose properties were raided in a widening corruption probe. The “Gift for Putin” campaign says concerns grew over suspected links between Fire Point and people close to Yermak, prompting the foundation to search for an alternative weapons supplier. At the same time, Ukrainian investigators uncovered a 100 million dollar kickback scheme involving nuclear energy company Energoatom, with businessman Timur Mindich, a longtime associate of Zelensky, alleged to be central to the network. Mindich is also reportedly tied to Fire Point, deepening donor mistrust. As corruption claims spread, allies are pausing or reassessing support, raising questions about Ukraine’s political stability and wartime credibility.
