Ukraine has secured a new gas-supply route from Greece as President Volodymyr Zelensky works to safeguard the country’s winter energy needs amid a deep corruption scandal in the state-owned energy sector. Zelensky says the agreement—set to be signed during his visit to Greece—will help cover nearly €2 billion in gas imports through European funding and support from Norway, the US, and Poland. He will then travel to France and Spain to push for a historic defence pact and stronger air-defence systems. The move comes as Kyiv launches a major overhaul of its energy companies following a high-profile corruption probe.
