Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine’s air defenses—and especially unmanned drone and electronic warfare units—neutralized over 400 Russian attack drones overnight, with authorities ultimately reporting interception of more than 415 out of 458 drones and 9 of 45 missiles. The massive barrage killed at least four and wounded dozens, while damaging critical energy and residential infrastructure in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and other regions, triggering widespread power outages. Zelensky stressed the urgent need for more US Patriot air defense systems and missiles, thanking international partners for their support and warning only a few global systems can reliably counter Russia’s continued use of ballistic and aeroballistic missiles.
