The United States has approved the sale of Extended Range Attack Munitions (ERAMs) to Ukraine, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. Approximately 3,350 air-launched ERAMs, which have a range between 150 and 280 miles, are expected to reach Ukraine in the next six weeks. The $850 million military package, primarily funded by European nations, includes other weapons as well. However, the use of ERAMs by Ukraine reportedly requires U.S. approval according to officials cited by WSJ report. Despite former President Joe Biden having previously authorized the use of long-range ATACMS missiles after North Korean troops entered the conflict, current Pentagon leadership under President Trump has reportedly blocked Ukraine from using these systems against targets inside Russia.
