The Dalai Lama has confirmed that his spiritual lineage will continue after his passing – a rare, definitive statement from the Tibetan spiritual leader just days before his 90th birthday. But Beijing isn’t having it. China has flatly rejected his claim, insisting the next Dalai Lama must be “approved” by the Chinese government.
