In a bold declaration, a known writer Mir Yar Baloch claimed Balochistan’s independence from Pakistan. The statement came amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan. Mir Yar Baloch called on the Indian government to allow the opening of a Baloch embassy in New Delhi and also urged the United Nations to send peacekeeping forces to Balochistan and demanded that the Pakistani army leave the region.
