Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on Congress during the Constitution debate in Lok Sabha. Referring to the 1975 Emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi, PM Modi accused Congress of tearing apart the Constitution and turning the country into a jail. With citizens’ rights snatched and media clamped down, he declared that Congress can never erase this stain.
