The United States said it’s satisfied with the cooperation from India in the investigation of the alleged Pannun assassination plot. The US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said “We appreciate them updating us on their investigation as we update them on ours and the individual who was named in the Justice Department indictment is no longer an employee of the Indian Government.” Last year, the US Department of Justice (DoJ) accused an Indian official, identified as CC-1 in court filings, of directing a plot to assassinate a US national who was later identified as Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
