An Israeli border police officer was lightly wounded on Sep 15 in a stabbing attack. The attack happened at the Damascus gate entrance to Jerusalem’s old city. According to police, the assailant attacked the officer with a sharp object before attempting to flee. The attack reportedly prompted other border police officers to fatally shoot the assailant.
