Hamas appears to admit to killing six hostages, whose bodies were recovered by the IDF on September 1. Hamas suggested these hostages were killed to prevent their rescue by Israeli forces. The Al-Qassam Brigades have also introduced new protocols following the Nuseirat incident, where four hostages were rescued from a Gaza refugee camp in June 2024. Additionally, the Hamas’ armed wing released video of slain hostage Eden Yerushalmi on Telegram.
