The outgoing head of Israel’s military intelligence, Aharon Haliva, claimed responsibility for not warning about Hamas’ October 7 attack. In his last speech, Haliva said that he bore the “ultimate responsibility” for failing to protect Israelis, and on my behalf and on behalf of the entire intelligence wing, I ask for forgiveness.”
