We have a website that is currently hosted on AWS. We want to move it to a managed WordPress to reduce our costs. I need an experienced web developer to work with my existing tech team to get this transfer done & tested on a copy site within 30 days to iron out any issues before moving the real site. As we are an established online education business, it’s important we have almost no downtime and that any merge does not ruin our clients existing memberships. We also have a lot of coding that links our memberships with discord access so I need a web developer that will work with my discord dev to make sure everything stays in tact.

The process we need is:
subscribe to a managed wordpress service
migrate the data and plugins
install and configure the API plugin for your services
update your services to work with this API rather than direct database calls
update your services to run on deno cloud rather than AWS
do extensive testing of all the functionalities on the new managed service
run a delta migration for all the data to catch up with production
switch over production to the new managed service
test everything again and mage sure the switch was successful
shut down the services on AWS

Once this is done, we also want to rebuild the front page of the aesthetics of the website to make it a much better sales machine that will get us high conversions. There is an opportunity for ongoing work if this goes well as we are constantly growing and upgrading our services.

Hourly Range: $15.00-$40.00
