We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead our dynamic and innovative software development team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software development processes, team leadership, and strategic project management. This role requires expertise in Ruby on Rails, and familiarity with system architecture, Kubernetes, and database optimization. The successful candidate will be adept at guiding teams in adopting Agile best practices, performing code reviews, managing worldwide teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software projects.

Key Responsibilities
-Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of highly skilled software developers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation.

-Project Management and Delivery:  Oversee the end-to-end project delivery process, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.

-Technical Proficiency and Guidance: Utilize extensive knowledge in Ruby on Rails to provide technical guidance and support to the team. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.

-Database and Performance Optimization: Lead efforts in database tuning, optimization, and performance testing to ensure the highest levels of system efficiency and reliability.

-Agile Methodology Expertise: Champion Agile principles and best practices within the team, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, and ensuring agile methodologies are properly implemented and maintained.

-Strategic Planning and Vision: Collaborate with senior leadership to align the software development strategy with the company’s goals, contributing insights and strategic thinking to advance technological innovation and efficiency.

-Systems Management and Architecture: Oversee systems management, including Kubernetes and system architecture design, ensuring scalability, resilience, and optimal performance.

-Global Team Management: Experience in managing worldwide teams, understanding cultural nuances, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across different geographies.

-Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibit excellent communication and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex issues and conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

-Adaptability: Demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving tech environment, embracing changes and leading the team through transitions.

Qualifications
-Profound expertise in Ruby on Rails database and performance tuning, and Agile methodologies.
-Proven track record of successful team leadership, project delivery, and strategic planning.
-Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead diverse, worldwide teams effectively.
-Certifications in Project Management, Agile methodologies, or other relevant areas are a plus.
