About Us:
Ictect – The Intelligent Content Company is seeking a highly skilled VBA expert to help us update existing VBA macros and develop new macros for new features. These VBA macros were originally developed for Office for Mac 2011 and render in Word Macro Templates (DOTM). The macros now to be made compatible with Office for Mac 2019 and later versions including Office 2019 and later for Windows. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that the updated and new macros are functioning efficiently, while also preserving the original workflow requirements for our customers. This individual will be required to have working experience with MacBook & Windows.  

Min. 30 hours a week

Project Duration: 3-6 months

Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:

1.    Review and analyse the existing VBA macros in Word Templates developed for Office for Mac 2011.
2.   Modify, rewrite, or develop new code as necessary to ensure compatibility with Office for Mac 2019 and later versions as well as Office 2019 and later versions.
3.  Test the updated macros for functionality and performance.
4.   Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues arising from the migration process.
5.   Ensure that all macros maintain their intended functionality post-migration.
6.   Document all changes made during the migration process.
7.   Work closely with the in-house team to understand the original requirements and workflow.
8.   Provide regular updates on the progress and any challenges faced during migration.

Desired Experience:
1.    Proven experience in developing, updating, and troubleshooting VBA macros for MS Office applications, especially in Microsoft Word.
2.   Experience in VBA macros development with both Office for Mac and Office for Windows environments.
3.   Previous experience with VBA macros migration between different versions of Microsoft Office, especially with Microsoft Word.
4.    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
5.   Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
6.   Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7.   Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8.   Experience with other programming languages or automation tools.
