We are seeking an experienced full stack developer to help our small consulting firm deliver on novel AI projects. We are looking for someone who is excited to jump neck-deep into AI, but you don’t necessarily need a ton of AI experience. Ideally you would be interested in eventually becoming a partner at our company.

This is not a role where you are handed a spec and expected to build it. You will be part of defining the problem and the solution. You will have a lot of freedom and flexibility, but will be working hand in hand with our team at every step. This is a great role for someone that loves problem solving and product building. We are pushing the edge of what can be build with the current AI toolset. Our clients don’t expect perfection. They expect experimentation and dedication to achieving the best outcomes possible within the constraints of budget, time, and the current state of technology.

You will be a driving force on our team which currently includes a consultant, a product manager, and a designer. We are all experienced and technically proficient, but we need someone to lead technical development. Your responsibilities would include:

– Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and implement AI-centric applications that meet project requirements
– Research and implement new strategies for AI integration
– Architect, build, and deploy proofs-of-concept, prototypes, and applications
– Manage near-shore teams when necessary

Requirements:
– 10+ years of development experience
– Full stack capabilities with experience in typescript and python.
– Experience managing a small team
– Open to a highly collaborative and transparent process
– Ability to interact well with client business and technical teams

Our process
We begin with strategic consulting, trying to understand our client’s business and how AI can truly deliver value.
Then we suggest opportunities for AI implementation and work with the client to build alignment and buy-in with their management team.
Then we create one or more prototypes to demonstrate value potential.
Then, depending on the scope, we begin building. Sometime we build all by ourselves. Sometimes we work with the client’s in house team. And sometimes we lead a near-shore team. In some rare cases, we hand the project off completely at that point and let another company do the development.

AI is new and the playbook hasn’t been written. Every company has unique challenges and requirements that push us to find novel solutions.
