Are you a mid-level developer who…
• …is a Swiss Army Knife or a Jack/Jill of all Trades? While you’ve got to get those upgrades and bug fixes done, each week is a bit different as we test new products and websites. And you’ll have lots of learning opportunities.
• …not threatened by using plugins or frameworks? Our primary developer calls himself lazy, but we think of him as super smart when he solves problems using configurable plug-ins as opposed to building from scratch.
• …like simple but big databases? After all, data can be organized neatly in columns and rows, and there’s always a correct answer when working with it!
• …wants to check-in code that makes a difference? You’ll be building internal tools to give your teammates superpowers, and you’re going to hear how thrilled we are with what you’ve built.
• …speaks like a human? This most important value is hard to summarize but examples include admitting when you make mistakes and patiently explaining technical concepts to smart non-developers.
If so, then we want to hear from you!
About Us
We’re a small data company seeking a Web Developer to join us for the long haul. You’d be the fifth member of our team and our second developer. We sell US demographic data for geographies like cities or zips to business owners for their sales and marketing plans. We don’t sell data about individuals, because it doesn’t align with our values. We offer both data products (think pre-generated reports) and custom data services. We’ve been around since 2009 and have helped over 10,000 businesses get data.
Working Hours
We need you available for a 2-hour window Monday through Friday (typically 8-10 am CST) for project coordination. Additionally, we have a team Zoom call about every 2 months at 8:30 am CST. Outside of these times, you can set your own hours.
